Authentication Guidelines
The Consular Section in the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland authenticates documents and classifies them into Commercial, Academic and Immigration documents.
All documents issued in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland by competent authorities must be authenticated by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) or Irish Department of Foreign Affairs/ Embassy of Ireland in London.
All documents issued in the Republic of South Sudan must be authenticated first by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, South Sudan.
All foreign documents must first be authenticated by their respective Embassies and then the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Authentication Procedures

Submit a copy of every page and attachments for authentication.

All documents to be used in the Republic of South Sudan must be legalised by the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in London.

Provide secure self addressed envelope with return address clearly written on to the Embassy of the Republic South Sudan – London.

If authenticating a certified copy, show the original certificate to compare between the two certificates, and the original will be returned to the owner together with the certified copy.

The above authentication requirements or procedures apply on immigration related documents such as Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Divorce Documents , South Sudanese Passport Copies and original documents which must be legalised at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – South Sudan should be presented.
