New Work Hours

The Nationality, Passport and Immigration Unit at the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan in London wishes to inform all its visa clients that with effect from 1st of January 2016, the visa new work hours will be as follows:

  • Visa office is open Monday- Wednesday  from 9:00 am- 12 noon for Visa presentation 

  • Collection will be from 2:00pm -3:30pm Monday to Wednesday

  • Only Uk passport holders, all foreign passport holders with a Uk residential status can submit an application for a visa at South Sudan Embassy in London

  • All South Sudanese travelling to South Sudan with British passports and Uk Travel documents require a visa and must fulfil all visa requirements

PROCESSING PROCEDURE: Please allow a minimum of Seven (7) working days* after presentation) excluding weekends and public holidays

  • New visa Rates with effect from 1st of january 2016
  •  
  •  One Month single entry visa --------------------- 50 Sterling Pounds
  •  Three Months multiple Entry visa ---------------- 100 Sterling Pounds
  •  
  • Any request for extension of stay in South Sudan must be addressed and handled with South Sudan Ministry of Interior prior to expiration of your visa
  • Visa issuance is not guaranteed in advance

  • Final travel plans and purchase of non refundable tickets should not be made until after receipt of visa/passport

  • Failure to submit required documents, as indicated above, will lead to additional processing times or denial of visa

  • Individuals’ travelling from far places such as Ireland and Scotland e.t.c and cannot wait for the duration of the processing time should provide a PREPAID SPECIAL DELIVERY ENVELOPE for return of their documents.

  • Passport must have an unused page for visa endorsement

Collection: For passport collection (applicants can collect themselves. Sending someone on your behalf. They must provide a letter of consent for the applicant and proof of identity)

Visa Requirements (Please present to the consular office the following requirements)

  • Complete visa form (please attach to the visa form both original and photocopies of the required documents *this is inclusive of passport Photo page and yellow fever cards)

  • Passport VALID FOR at least six months before expiry date

  • Bank statements showing sufficient funds to cover duration of stay in South Sudan.

  • AN INVITATION LETTER addressed to Embassy of South Sudan from your organisation in South Sudan explaining the purpose of your travel

  • For business visits ,applicants are advised to provide a copy of Company’s or Organization’s registration certificate in South Sudan Or a copy of company registration certificate in UK for businesses that are yet to be registered in South Sudan

  • For personal visits an invitation letter is required from the concerned family/friends. Those with families/friends  in south Sudan should obtain a visa  from immigration department in South Sudan and forwarded to the embassy through the ministry of foreign affairs ,Department of border and Aliens )

  • Applicants intending to travel to south Sudan for work are advised to obtain work permit from the Ministry of labour and public Service before submitting their visa for processing

  • Two recent passport size photos.

  • Certificate of vaccination (yellow fever)

  • Return ticket(Tourist visa)

  • Bank statement

  • Evidence of ties to country of permanent residence e.g. employment  (letter from employer indicating duration of leave)(tourist)

  • Address in South Sudan e.g. Hotel booking(tourist)

Visas for Diplomats and Government officials.

  • Uk officials or diplomats travelling with diplomatic, official or service passports must bring an official letter (A Note Verbale) from appropriate authorities or Embassies

  • Visas to Diplomats are Gratis(no visa fee will be assessed)

Passports and National certificates

  1. . Regular passport                 ------------------------ 75 Sterling Pounds
  2. . Nationality certificate        ------------------------- 25 Sterling pounds
  3. . Child regular passport      -------------------------- 60 Sterling pounds

 

Please note: Passports and Nationality certificates are issued only to South Sudanese residents/non-residents in the UK.
